It's been a while since I've blogged, so I'll do a quick catch up. Here are a few assorted pics.
Since there is absolutely no signage at the Big A facility on which to place the little pink glasses, I just took a picture THROUGH them.
We go out to Fallon Naval Air Station to do most of our grocery shopping.
Supposedly this is the Navy's "Top Gun" school. But I didn't see Maverick, Goose or even Ice Man anywhere. I did see them practicing tho, so cool.
I didn't know that just anyone can buy the military camo's, but apparently so. I loved the digital blue of the navy uniform, so Chawley bought me some. I wear them ALL the time, they are so comfy and have mega pockets! Perfect for work.
The first time I've ever seen a real-live whor... uh,...brothel.
That big LED sign said, "Red Light District" and a few other scrolling messages.
Ok, so simple things amuse me.
This is the beginning of our day trip to Donner Pass. This is Genoa, NV, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. This is the oldest town in NV, founded in 1851. The last 'safe' stop before the immigrants headed up over the Sierras. A lot of the buildings are original, and still used, although for other business.
For instance, ... Nevada's oldest saloon is now an ice cream parlor.
Hotel & Trading Post is an antique store.
This is facing east from Genoa.
This is facing west, up into the Sierra Nevadas.
Stay tuned! The next post will be Lake Tahoe and Donner Pass.
