Clear and sunny!

We headed north to Genesee, ID to visit my brother, Steve, and his wife, Marlette.
They live on top of a knoll overlooking the Palouse. (Steve calls it Fairbanks, Idaho because it's so cold in the winter.)
I have to say, the Palouse is one of my favorite places. Big skies, and rolling hills. You can see forever! You can see weather, or visitors, coming from miles and miles away.
Granted it's fall, and the harvest is almost over, so it isn't the bright greens and floral colors of spring. But it's beautiful this time of year too. The sun and shadows create dimples and colors that are amazing. If you saw this painted in a picture, you would probably say, "That looks so fake."
But it's real, baby!
These photos are from their yard. What magnificent views!
We had so much fun with Steve and Marlette. They are the most down-to-earth people you could ever hope to meet. Steve and I went to some great antique stores in the area. Steve is a great cook, we ate like royalty! There was also lots of good visiting. We solved all the worlds problems, right there on their back porch. (I have the best family ever!)
Next stop, Spokane to see my sister, Kate.
