Glacier National Park

Spending 2 days inside Glacier National Park is really only enough time to see 'the tip of the iceberg',  (or glacier), if you get my meaning.
Because Charley and I are not hard core backpacking, canoe hauling, bear escaping,  machete wielding, naturalists,... we decided to see what can be scene from the truck or from maintained walking trails.  But in Glacier, that does not mean a lack of spectacular scenery.  In fact, I have taken over 150 photos in 2 days.   The hard part is deciding which 10 or so to use here, but let me give this a try.

This rocky waterfall looks to perfect to be natural, but given it's location, (off a dirt road, that wasn't near anything), I know it was as nature made it.

Charley - N Fork of the Flathead River - and a pic of Lake McDonald.

The water is incredibly clear.  And the reds and greens in the rocks was so pretty. I just fascinated me!

Did I mention I was fascinated by the color and clarity of the water?  This is Avalanche Creek.  It flows into Lake McDonald.

It's amazing how well you can see the bottom in these deep pools. The photos don't do it justice.
Did I also mention how COLD the water was?  Well, I guess it IS melted glacier runoff...

OK, well so much for only using 10 or so photos.  I haven't even started on the 'Going To The Sun Road' yet.  That's where the scenery gets REALLY gorgeous!
